Star Wars Battlefront 2 is beginning to come to a close with the release of its latest content update, The Battle on Scarif. While inspired by Rogue One, the update focuses on the original Star Wars trilogy — bringing the Capital Supremacy playlist — but also includes new hero skins for Rey and Darth Maul. Darth Maul’s Old Master skin features the red-faced villain with robo-legs, and you can’t get much cooler than that. The problem is, it’s rather tricky to actually unlock.
Unlocking the Old Master Maul Skin
To unlock the Old Master Darth Maul skin in Battlefront 2, you need to get 5,000 kills while playing as him to complete a Milestone added in as part of The Battle on Scarif update.
There are two big issues that make unlocking this skin so tricky. The first is that yes, you need 5,000 kills to unlock it. That’s going to take a serious amount of time, even if you could play with Darth Maul every game, but that’s where the second issue comes in.
In multiplayer, only one player can be Darth Maul in a game, meaning you’re not always guaranteed to be racking up kills towards that big 5,000 target. If you do want to go about it this way, you’ll need to get at 4,000 points to buy and play as Darth Maul, so get swinging that saber!
An easier way of doing it is to simply use Co-op. It’s far easier to rack up the points needed to buy Darth Maul, but remember you do need to choose Separatist Alliance at the co-op menu.
