How to Unlock Free Log in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4

Unlocking the Free Log gameplay mode in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is fairly easy to do, so long as you have the patience.

After completing the first mission proper of the game’s story mode – titled Dramatic Log – you’ll gain access to the Free Log Mode. In it, you’ll be able to play as a wider range of characters in which ever missions you’ve cleared from the Dramatic Log, diving in and out of its battles sans all of the story cutscenes and narrative fluff.

However, herein lies the catch: You can only dive into a free play version of the missions you’ve cleared from the story mode, meaning your options will be severely limited if you try to play the Free Log game mode as soon as its unlocked.

As such, you’ll want to progress through as much of One Piece Pirate Warriors 4’s story mode as possible before trying to play this more open-ended gameplay mode.

It’s admittedly a bit of a bummer if you aren’t interested in playing through a retelling of the One Piece series’ story for the hundredth time. Fortunately, it only takes a few hours to unlock a decent array of missions, and you’ll likewise have a wider array of characters to choose from if you’re willing to make the time investment.

That’s all there is to know about how to unlock the Free Log gameplay mode in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. For more on the game, check out our guide on how to use Special Attacks as well as some of the game’s wealth of character spotlight trailers.
