How to Level Up Fast & Easy in Nioh 2

In Nioh 2, you use Amrita to increase your attributes and every time you do your overall level goes up. These statistical upgrades can increase everything from your maximum hit points, Ki regeneration speed, and overall damage output.

Each piece of gear has its own level, and in the short term equipping more powerful items will increase your efficacy more than boosting your stats. Item level is capped to the map you are currently exploring though, so if you are stuck on a particular boss you are going to need to grind.

Every time you increase your level, the cost of the next goes up exponentially. The primary method of gaining Amrita is by defeating enemies, and the more powerful they are, the more you will receive.

You can boost this amount by going to a Shrine, selecting the Make Offering tab, and then Recieve Kodama Blessing, and finally select the Oracle Blessing. This will increase the amount of Amrita earned by 5%, which will increase by an additional 5% per Kodama you guide back to the Shrine.

In addition, you can earn Spirit Stones, which are single-use items that can be used to gain an amount of Amrita, determined by its size. Spirit Stones can be randomly gained by defeating enemies, or by opening chests or other containers.

You should only use these items when you are in a safe place, preferably by a Shrine. They are particularly useful for topping up the amount of Amrita you have when you find yourself just short of a level up.

If you have any unwanted gear, you can offer them up to the Kodama at a Shrine for a modest amount of Amrita. From the Shrine, select Make Offering, and then Make An Offering. The amount of Amrita that you receive is determined by the item offered’s level and rarity.

Lastly, some items will come with a Special Effect that increases the amount of Amrita earned. By equipping several such items at once, in addition to having the Oracle Blessing active, you can earn massive amounts of Amrita quickly. Supplement this by offering the gear you earn in the process, and you will be at max level in no time.
