Sims 4 PS4 & Xbox One: How to Buy a House

Sims 4 has been a hit for years, particularly on PC, but it’s currently a free game on PS4 for PlayStation Plus subscribers. While you’ll spend a lot of time micro-managing your sims, you might want to make big changes to their lives. If you’re looking to permanently change your sims’ surrounding, here’s everything you need to know about how to buy a house in Sims 4 on PS4 and Xbox One.

Thankfully, getting a change of scenery is pretty easy, and you’ve pretty much got free reign when it comes to picking the house you want. It’s also different to how the process worked in The Sims 3.

How to Buy a House in Sims 4 PS4 & Xbox One

The first thing you need to do is select the three dots icon in top right of the screen when playing, then select ‘Manage Worlds’ and ‘Save and Go To Manage Worlds.’

This will take you out of the active game and to a menu with all of the Sims 4 worlds. Once you’ve chosen the right world, which will likely be the one you were just in, choose ‘Household Management’ in the top right of the screen, just two icons left of the three dots.

Then, choose the family of sims you want to move and select the house you want to buy for them. Once you’re sure you’ve found their dream house, select confirm in the bottom right of the screen, the the tick on the menu in the middle of the screen, and then ‘play’ to actually jump into the game and see your sims in their new home.

  1. Press the three dots in the top right of the screen, select ‘Manage Worlds’ and then ‘Save and Go To Manage Worlds.’

  2. Pick a world, select ‘Household Management’, and then the house you want.

  3. Finally, click the proceed icons in the bottom right and ticks in the menu in the middle of the screen to confirm the move.
