How to Make Money Fast (Yen) in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore

As you play through the game and defeat enemies in your dungeon-crawling exploits, you’ll naturally earn money over time. However, there are a couple of ways you can speed up that process, as listed below:

  • Opening treasure chests.
  • Getting 3-chain Session attacks.
  • Selling items once you’ve completed Maiko’s side story.

Opening Treasure Chests

Firstly, the treasure chests you come across in dungeons can drop you large sums of money or valuable items that you can sell. These are always tucked away in corners that are off the beaten path, so you’ll want to take your time to explore every nook and cranny of a dungeon to get everything.

Chaining Session Attacks

A more consistent way of making money is by chaining Session Attacks with all three party members. Whenever a character uses a skill that hits an enemy’s weakness, your two other characters can follow up with Session attacks if they already have Session skills that are chain-able with the original skill.

Getting all three party members involved in the Session will automatically reward you with some bonus money, along with item drops. This is a fantastic way to earn money quickly, and doesn’t even require extra EP from your other two party members, so you should definitely go for Session attacks whenever possible.

Completing Ms Maiko’s Side Story to Sell Items for Money

Finally, once you beat chapter 2, you’ll be able to take on Ms Maiko’s side story. Just head to the Fortuna Office and speak with her, and she’ll ask for a hangover cure. Talk to Tiki in the Bloom Palace, and she’ll tell you to collect three items in the Daitama Idolasphere.

Just head over there, and pick up the items, which will be marked with a green exclamation point on the ground. One item can be found on each level, and considering the linearity of the dungeon and how low level the enemies are here, you shouldn’t have too much problem with this quest step.

After completing the quest, you’ll now be able to sell your items for even more money at stores.

To recap, here’s how to make money (yen) fast in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore:

  1. Get Session attacks with all three party members in one go.

  2. Open treasure chests for large sums of money and valuables.

  3. Complete Maiko’s side story after chapter 2 to increase the value of sold items at stores.
