It’s the holiday season, and Epic Games is kicking off the festivities in its Battle Royale title today with Fortnite Winterfest. Alongside changes to the map and a new challenge every day, players can also open presents. After all, it is the season of giving. Here’s how to open presents in Fortnite Winterfest.
Opening Presents in Fortnite Winterfest
To open presents, players simply need to select the option to go to Crackshot’s Cabin from the lobby screen. This is done by pressing RB/ R1/ R and selecting the snowflake with the number in it.
Select the option to visit the Winterfest Cabin and you’ll then be Crackshot in a chair in the corner. Just next to him is a pile of presents, and over to the left is another pile of presents.
Use the analog stick to select either of these piles of presents and then choose the exact present you want to open.
You can then press and hold X/ Square/ Y to shake the present to get a clue of what’s inside, or you can just press and hold A/ X/ B/ E to open the present.
When the wheel is completely full, you’ll pull out your present for that day.
These presents can be obtained in Fortnite Winterfest for 14 days starting from Dec. 17, taking you right to the end of 2019 on Dec. 31. Make sure you sign in each day to get your present from that day, as these won’t stack.
What’s Inside Fortnite Winterfest Presents?
Players have the chance of pulling one of many different festive cosmetic items added into Fortnite. According to leaker ShiinaBR, players can get the following items from the Winterfest Presents in Fortnite:
- 2 Outfits
- 2 Gliders
- 2 Pickaxes
- 2 Wraps
- 1 Emote
