How to Get the Redistributor in Borderlands 3

The Redistributor is a Legendary SMG that you can get in Borderlands 3. However, it isn’t available within the main campaign and its areas; instead, you’ll need to get it through the Maliwan Takedown event that got added to the game post-launch.

The good news is that the Maliwan Takedown is a free event, and anyone can participate once you’ve updated your game. After beating the campaign, you can talk to Lorelei in Sanctuary to begin the Maliwan Takedown mission.

Once you begin the event and enter the Maliwan Blacksite, all enemies in that area will have a chance of dropping the Redistributor for you. You can also farm the raid boss Wotan the Invincible for a better chance of obtaining the weapon.

As always, playing with Mayhem Mode activated or on True Vault Hunter Mode will increase your Legendary drop rates even further.

Borderlands 3 Redistributor Perks

While the stats are random, there is one fixed perk for this weapon:

  • Man’s reach exceeds his imagination: Chains shots to nearby enemies. Every seventh shot is amped.

This makes the SMG a pretty great weapon for crowd control, and it gives you a nice damage boost for every seventh shot fired as well.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Redistributor Legendary SMG in Borderlands 3. Be sure to check our Borderlands 3 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
