Apex Legends will be celebrating the holidays with a new limited-time event with a new mode, cosmetics and more. Announced during The Game Awards 2019 tonight, Mirage’s Holo-Day Bash event begins today, Dec. 12 and will run until Jan. 7.
The event features a new mode called Winter Express, where three squads compete to control the moving train of the World’s Edge map with a few changes from the game’s normal battle royale formula.
Every player spawns with a custom, pre-determined loadout depending on the character selected that changes daily. The Winter Express mode is also multiple rounds with three captures to win, so eliminated players can change their character during the match to try something different.
As for the regular Apex Legends game, the only addition is the new location “The Mirage Voyage” The new location is essentially a floating party boat, complete with a dance floor and a hot tub.
Players can earn two legendary skins, a music pack, badges, and a gun charm by completing specific challenges. There will also be 24 exclusive themed cosmetics that players can buy alongside unlocking the Pathfinder Heirloom set for free from buying it all.
