Patch 5.1 has just been released for Final Fantasy XIV, and with it comes some brand new content for players to run weekly to get new rewards and gear. The first part of the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse Alliance raid series is here, and you’ll get some useful weekly rewards if you run it diligently. Here’s how to get and use the Manufactured Coin in FFXIV.
How to Get Manufactured Coin in FFXIV
The Manufactured Coin is a weekly reward that you can get from a successful run of the Copied Factory raid. Each player can only obtain one Coin per successful clear a week, so once you get your Coin, you’ll have to wait till the weekly reset on Tuesday before you can get another one.
How to Use It
The Manufactured Coin doesn’t seem to have much value at first glance, but it’s a very useful material that can be traded for Deepshadow materials which, in turn, will enhance specific pieces of gear to increase your item level.
Once you’ve obtained your Manufactured Coin, you’ll want to talk to the NPC Fathard at Eulmore, and select the Glorious Gewgaws option. From here, you’ll be able to trade in your Coin for either one Deepshadow Twine or Deepshadow Coating.
Make your pick, then go talk to the NPC Shee-Tatch, who’s also located in Eulmore, near Fathard. From here, if you have any Deepshadow gear in your possession, you can trade that in along with your Deepshadow Twine or Coating to get an enhanced piece of gear in return.
The Augmented Deepshadow gear will come at an item level of 470, which should be enough to get you into some of the highest level content currently available in the game. It’s worth noting that Deepshadow armor pieces can be enhanced with Deepshadow Twine and Coating, but Deepshadow weapons need to be enhanced with Deepshadow Solvent, which can only be obtained if you have Books of Inundation obtained from the Eden Savage raids.

- Run the Copied Factory raid.
You can get one Coin each week by completing a successful run of the Copied Factory.
- Talk to Fathard at Eulmore to turn in the Coin.
You can get either one Deepshadow Twine or Coating in exchange for one Manufactured Coin.
- Talk to Shee-Tatch at Eulmore to turn in your Twine and Coating.
These materials will allow you to enhance any Deepshadow armor pieces you currently have, and give you an ilvl 470 piece in return.
