How to Beat King Boo in Luigi’s Mansion 3

At the beginning of the fight when there is only one version of King Boo, all you need to do is avoid all of his fireballs and tongue attacks until he throws a big spiky ball at you. Once the ball hits the ground, it’ll let out a couple of bombs.

Try to pick up one of the bombs with the Poltergust and then shoot it into King Boo’s mouth before the bombs start to explode. If you miss the timing, you will have to wait until he does this attack again but it shouldn’t be too difficult this first time.

Doing it correctly will stun Boo and then you can go up to his tongue and pull it but you’ll need the combined strength of both Luigi and Gooigi so that you can throw him around and cause damage.

Second Phase

Now, the second version of King Boo will appear, making this fight twice as hard. Make sure to avoid their gross tongue move by running underneath it as soon as it reaches its high point or jumping over the lowest points. The other attacks are pretty easy to avoid as long as you’re constantly on the move.

And again, they will both throw spiky balls that have bombs inside of them so grab one of the bombs and toss it into the Boo’s mouth. But, make sure to throw it in the real Boo’s mouth, the one with the purple eyes. If you throw it into the copy of King Boo, it won’t have an effect.

Third Phase

And now you have to deal with three versions of King Boo. The difference this time around is that the fight is timed, giving you just four minutes to take them down.

They won’t do any new moves but you need to be very careful with dodging these because if you aren’t, you’ll end up dying like three times just like I did.

The hardest part here is when you need to grab a bomb to throw into his mouth because the three of them will all throw the spiky ball, meaning that there will be dozens of bombs on the floor, ready to explode.

Be very careful with how you go about picking up the bomb and make sure to throw it into the mouth of the real King Boo without getting hurt.

Once you do this successfully, you’ll be able to grab his tongue once again with Luigi and Gooigi and finish the final battle once and for all.

Time needed: 10 minutes

To sum up how to beat King Boo in Luigi’s Mansion 3:

  1. Avoid his attacks and when he throws a big spiky ball, pick up one of the bombs that comes out of it and toss it into King Boo’s mouth.

Use Luigi and Gooigi together to suck up his tongue to cause damage.

  2. Repeat the same steps as before but just be careful about dodging the attacks and making sure to hit the correct version of King Boo, the one with the purple eyes.
