If you’re wondering how to find Boos in the massive hotel, then here’s how to go about it.
Once you acquire the elevator button from the pesky mouse, you will be invited back to Professor E. Gadd’s lab in the basement and he will upgrade Luigi’s Poltergust with a new feature that allows him to detect hidden Boos throughout the hotel.
It uses the goo from Gooigi and it reacts to the frequency emitted by Boos. So if there is a Boo hiding somewhere in the hotel, the green goo in Luigi’s vacuum will begin to vibrate harder and harder, depending on how close you are to the Boos.
How to Find Boos in Luigi’s Mansion 3
To detect hidden Boos, make sure to look at the goo on Luigi’s back while also being on the lookout for when your controller begins to vibrate. If you feel it starting, just keep walking around the area until you feel the vibration getting stronger and stronger.
Usually, the Boo will be hiding in a specific object, so you will need to start messing around with all of the items in the location until the Boo pops out.
How to Defeat Them
The Boo will run away at first into hiding but just keep moving around until he pops out again and what you need to do before you start using the vacuum to suck it up is to use the dark light with the X button.
Hold the light to the Boo for a few seconds and then you’ll be able to suck it up by pulling on its tongue. To actually defeat it, you’re going to have to repeat this process at least two or three times.
