Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind Alan Wake and Quantum Break, has released their new game. Control is a third-person action game, but you’ll be wondering whether you can play co-op multiplayer at all. Well, here’s everything you need to know.
If you’re not familiar with Control, it sees you play as Jesse Faden, who is the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control, and you use her supernatural powers to take on the Hiss that are attacking and changing her world.
Is There Co-Op Multiplayer? Answered
As you’d expect from a Remedy game, it is very single player and story-focused. There are no live-action segments like there are in Quantum Break, but you’ll still be playing through on your own as Jesse.
Therefore, there’s no co-op multiplayer in Control. In fact, there is no multiplayer at all.
It wouldn’t make much sense to add co-op multiplayer in to the single player that already exists in the game, since it so closely follows Jesse’s story, but we will, of course, update you here if co-op is ever added to the game at a later date.
I wouldn’t hold your breath though. Co-op multiplayer is not something that has traditionally been a part of Remedy’s games, and as I said before, it’s not clear how it would work in Control.
Thankfully, there are loads of other games coming out over the next few months that’ll offer action and co-op multiplayer. Borderlands 3 is just a few weeks away.
That’s everything you need to know about whether there is co-op multiplayer in Control. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite. We have also listed some other helpful guides on the game down below.
