What Marrying Does in Fire Emblem Three Houses

Marriage in Fire Emblem Three Houses doesn’t actually have any effect on the gameplay. Instead, it’s simply a way of allowing you to bond further with your characters and allow them to see a happy ending.

Once you’ve decided who you want to marry (we’ll get to that in a minute), after the final battle, you’ll get a cutscene with your chosen future husband or wife. You also get a blurb before the end credits describing how you and your husband/ wife spend their lives together. It’s all very cute.

How to Get Married in Fire Emblem Three Houses

To get married in Fire Emblem Three Houses, you’ll absolutely need to make sure you hit an A-rank Support Rank with the character that you want to marry. It’s impossible to marry characters that you don’t have an A Support Rank for.

Once you reach the game’s final battle, you’ll be asked who you want to spend your life with. At this point, you’ll then be able to choose from the units you have A-ranks with. Select the unit you want to marry and proceed with the final battle. Once that’s done, you’ll get the cutscene mentioned above.

It’s also worth noting that you can’t get married before the final battle when the game asks, no matter how great your Support Rank with another unit.

How to Marry Units Together

If you want to marry units together in Fire Emblem Three Houses, you’ll need to make sure they’ve reached an A-rank Support Rank once again. If you have multiple units with A-rank relationships with other units, the game will calculate how many support points you have with each one and picks the highest relationship.

Just like with your own character’s marriage choice, all of this takes place just before the final battle, but this is all automated, so you won’t get to choose who pairs up with who. After the boss battle, you’ll see who ends up marrying who before the credits roll.

How to Get Support Points
