The screenshots provide another look at the exclusive new features coming to the Switch version of the game, hence “definitive edition.”

We get to see the ability to dash to increase running speed and to gain experience when killing enemies by trampling them down with your horse. On top of that, we take a look at the new mounts.

The battle speed can be set as normal, fast, and super fast, and you can change the appearance of your equipment without affecting its stats.

The screenshots then showcase the brand new photo mode, the past Dragon Quest modes in 2D Mode directly from the 3DS version, and the Spell of Resurrection that will let you select your starting point.

You can check out the gallery below. If you’d like to see more, you can also watch a trailer showcased during Square Enix’s E3 presentation, and quite a lot of gameplay showcasing the same featured you’ll see at the bottom of the post.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition will launch for Nintendo Switch on September 27.
