Where to Use the Bunker Basher Pickaxe to Smash the Rock at the Highest Point of the Volcano Rim in Fortnite

There are a few different parts to getting Fortbyte 80 that need breaking down, namely because Epic Games have made this a pretty specific task that you need to complete.

As such, we’ve broken down each section of Fortbyte 80’s requirements down below step-by-step so you can nab this one for yourself as easily and as quickly as possible. So, let’s start off with that Bunker Basher.

How to Get the Bunker Basher Pickaxe in Fortnite

The first thing you need to do in order to get your hands on Fortbyte 80 is to get the Bunker Basher pickaxe. Without it, you won’t be able to get this Fortbyte even if you track down the location. Bunker Basher is unlocked as part of the free Season 9 Battle Pass at Tier 38.

That means you’ll need to have played a good bit of Fortnite Season 9 and completed your fair share of daily and weekly challenges to have reached this tier.

Considering we’re now into week 5, though, hopefully you’ll be somewhere around this, if not already past Tier 38. Once you’ve got the Bunker Basher, head to the Locker and equip it in your pickaxe slot. Now, head into a game.

Where the Rock at the Highest Point of the Volcano Rim Is (Fortbyte 80 Location) – H3

Considering almost all of the volcano’s rim can be found in grid coordinate H3, it shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise that the rock at the highest point of the volcano rim can be found in this square.

Specifically, though, you’ll want to head to the northeast side of the volcano. You can check out the exact location in our map screenshot below.

Once you’ve landed here, you’re looking for a rock that is unbreakable. If you look in our other screenshot below, it’s that small, pale grey chunk sticking out of the top of the volcano rim, which also just so happens to be its highest point.

As long as you have the Bunker Basher equipped, start swiping away at it and you’ll be able to break it. Once you have, Fortbyte 80 will reveal itself.

As always, walk on over to it and press Square on PS4, X on Xbox One, Y on Nintendo Switch, and E on PC to interact with and collect it. You’ll have now unlocked another tile on the Fortbyte challenge page.

That’s everything you need to know to track down Fortbyte 80’s location by smashing the rock at the highest point of the volcano rim with the Bunker Basher.
