Fortbyte 20 Location Explained

The first thing that’s worth noting with Fortbyte 20’s location is that there’s not a specific place on the map you can go to each and every game to go and grab it. Instead, Fortbyte 20 is found at the center of any of the first three storm circles in a game. That means you’ll have to open your map to figure out where you want to land.

In case you’re unfamiliar, the storm circle is the white ring that appears on your map within the first minute or so of a game. After a few minutes have elapsed, the storm begins to encroach on this circle, and then it’s made smaller and so on. Fortbyte 20 can be obtained by heading to the very center of any of the first three storm circles in a game of Fortnite.

As you can see in our screenshot above, as soon as the first storm circle appeared, we marked roughly the center on our map so we had a general idea of where to head to for Fortbyte 20.

Tips for How to Get Fortbyte 20 at the Center of the First Three Storm Circles

While you can get this Fortbyte at any given time during the first three storm circles, we recommend heading to it during the first circle. This is because, during this time, a lot of players are searching for weapons, meaning you’ll likely have little competition for it.

On top of that, you can also use the Battle Bus to your advantage. By hanging on to the very end of the Battle Bus’ route over the island, you can cut down the time you’re waiting for the storm circle to appear. Deploy your glider as soon as you’re kicked off the bus and wait 30 seconds for the storm circle to appear.

Now you can mark it on your map as we have done above and chances are you’ll still be pretty high up. You can now glide and skydive your way to the location nice and quickly, rather than having to traverse across the ground and risk being spotted by another player.

Once you’ve hit roughly where your marker was, it’s then a case of starting to look around. Fortunately, Fortbyte 20’s location is made even clearer by a large lightning bolt hovering above it, indicating you’re at the center of one of the first three storm circles. Walk on over to it as always and press X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, E on PC, and Y on Switch to collect it.

That’s all you need to know to get Fortbyte 20 at the center of any of the first three storm circles. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our ever-expanding Fortnite Season 9 guide wiki. Check out more Fortbyte location guides down below.
