Fortnite has just dropped the latest Fortbyte in the game, and that means players will once again need to complete some sort of challenge or seek it out on the map. For Fortbyte 6, it’s “Accessible with Yay! Emote at an ice cream shop in the desert.” Here’s everything you need to know down the Fortbyte 6 location in Fortnite.
What Fortbytes Are in Fortnite?
Fortbytes are essentially a new collectible introduced in Fortnite Season 9. Each day, a new one is unlocked, with some requiring players to reach a certain amount of XP, complete other challenge-like tasks, or solve riddles to find their locations on the map.
Upon collecting 90 of the 100 Fortbytes, players will also unlock the special Utopia Battle Star skin for this season. As such, for players wanting to get everything they possibly can out of Fortnite Season 9, Fortbytes are pretty darn important.
Where to Use Yay! Emote at Ice Cream Shop in the Desert for Fortbyte 6 – I7
The first thing you’ll need to do is ensure you’ve got the Yay! emote unlocked. This can be unlocked at tier 14 in the Season 9 battle pass, and is available as part of the free pass. Once you’ve got this, simply get it equipped to one of your slots for convenience. You can always just select it from the emote wheel in-game, though, if you’d prefer.
After doing this, you’ll want to make your way to the ice cream shop in grid reference I7 on Fortnite’s map. It’s a pink-colored building with an ice cream on the top and some trucks in the parking lot.
Land here and head inside through the front entrance. Fortbyte 6 should be right there in front of the counter. However, remember you’ll need to use the Yay! emote before you’ll be able to interact with it. Simply press up on the d-pad on Xbox One, PS4, and Switch to open up the emote wheel and select it. For PC players, you’re pressing B on your keyboard.
