How to Open Safes in Battlefield V Firestorm

Battlefield V‘s battle royale mode, Firestorm, has finally arrived, a few months after the base game, and you’ll be jumping into the series’ biggest ever map. So that you can get your hands on the best loot possible, here’s everything you need to know about how to open safes in Firestorm.

Where to Find Them in Firestorm

Coming across a safe in the game mode can be very helpful because they contain high-level gear, such as rare weapons and armor. However, they’re not very common and you’ll often have to rely on common gear from the ground and in buildings.

Before you can open safes, you need to know where to go. The best place to find safes in Firestorm is in larger named locations on the map. You’re not going to find one in a small hut out in the open, so should search larger places.

We found one, as you can see in the screenshot below, inside Halvoy Dam. If you land right on the center of the dam at the start of the game, then enter the tower and descend the stairs, you should see it there. But this is just one example. There are typically three or four per major area of the map.

How to Open Safes

Once you’ve got to the safe in Firestorm, it’s not just a case of pressing a button and it opening quickly. You need to hold square/X on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One respectively, or E on PC, and wait for the circular bar to fill around the button prompt.

It will take around ten seconds to open safes, so you’ll either need to ensure that the area is clear in solo mode, or have a teammate watch your back if you’re playing in squads.

Once it is open, you will be able to pick up a selection of weapons, armor and other items that’ll give you an advantage over many other players.

That’s everything you need to know about how to open safes in Firestorm. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite or check out our Firestorm wiki guide.
