How to Upgrade Guns for Hire in Far Cry New Dawn

Players aren’t the only ones who can enhance themselves and get stronger as they advance through Far Cry New Dawn. To that end, we’re here to walk you through how to upgrade the guns for hire.

One of many elements making a return from Far Cry 5, the guns for hire are an array of different allies players can enlist to aid them in their adventures across the post-apocalyptic Hope County.

These range from characters related to Guns for Hire in Far Cry 5, like Nick Rye’s daughter Carmina, to new additions like the geriatric sniper Nana, and each gun has their own abilities and perks that make them useful in an otherwise brutal fire fight.

As players make their way through the game though, they may find that their guns for hire need a little more health and general attack power to stand up to the threats Hope County poses to them.

Fortunately, every ally can be upgraded through Prosperity’s Training camp, one of several facilities that can be upgraded as players make their way through Far Cry New Dawn’s main story.

Each upgrade to the facility itself provides every ally with more health and attack power. The upgrades kick in for any new Guns discovered after they’re purchased too, so it’s always best to upgrade the facility as soon as possible.

At the same time, each of the guns for hire can also receive new abilities bed on how many kills they score while in the player’s company.

For instance, the canine companion Timber can learn how to spot resources and alarms after taking down 15 enemies, with other abilities earned after reaching subsequent kill counts.

When combined, both upgrade methods will ensure your allies are up to snuff for most any challenges you face alongside them.

Hopefully this helps you figure out how to upgrade Guns for Hire. Far Cry New Dawn is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
