If you’re unfamiliar with The Last Remnant, it’s a JRPG based on a fully original IP initially released by Square Enix in 2008 exclusively for Xbox 360. The Xbox exclusivity was part of an effort by Microsoft to set a foothold in Japan by securing several JRPGs to be launched only on its platform. Suffice to say, it didn’t work too well.

It was then released for PC in 2009, and it’s finally coming to PlayStation with this PS4 release next week, on December 6th. it’ll be interesting to see if the new platform will gift the game with an unexpected second life.
