The game is a relaunch of Samurai Warriors 4 from 2014, and it will release in Japan for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on March 14.

Samurai Warriors 4 DX will include all the regular features of the original, which shipped over 500,000 copies in Japan alone. It will also come with the 150 pieces of DLC that were released for it, like weapons and characters.

To be precise we’ll get 52 additional costumes, 28 parts, 60 weapons, four guns, eight scenarios, five music tracks.

A Samurai Warriors 4 DX 15th Anniversary box will also be launched including a 64-page artbook, the soundtrack and music videos in four CDs and four DVDs, and 144 postcards. It’ll cost 14,800 yen plus taxes.

Samurai Warriors 4 DX comes with 55 playable characters including well-known officers from the Sengoku Jidai. You can check out the first gallery of screenshots below, focusing on the extra content added to the DX version.

At the moment of this writing, a western release of Samurai Warriors 4 DX has not been announced, nor we know whether it’ll stick to PS4 and Switch, or it’ll extend to other platforms as well. Of course, we’ll keep you posted if anything new is shared by Koei Tecmo.
