Abzu Devs Reveal Gorgeous Fantasy Game Called The Pathless at The Game Awards 2018

Giant Squid Studio showed off their new game at The Game Awards 2018 tonight, called The Pathless.

The trailer was fairly short, but it gave us a good look at the game’s environments and main protagonist. You can check out the new footage down below.

From what we can gather so far, it looks like The Pathless will feature a female protagonist with an eagle companion. Players will explore a large forested land, though it’s not entirely clear whether this will be a pure exploration game like Abzu, or if there will be a heavier focus on combative elements. The latter seems likely, considering that the main character will be armed with a bow.

Giant Squid is best known for producing Abzu, the captivating underwater exploration game that’s now available on consoles and PC.
