The Spyro Reignited Trilogy completely overhauls all three iconic games in the series with a new aesthetic and streamlined gameplay mechanics. For the most part, though, the boss fights remained unchanged. Here’s how to beat Gnasty Gnorc in Spyro the Dragon.

If you’ve reached Gnasty Gnorc then well done, this is the big final boss fight of the game! And as you would expect, he’s no push-over, but if you follow this guide you should be able to dispatch him fairly easily.

First things first: as soon as the boss level begins, make sure you’re ready and on guard, because there’s no cutscene, you’re straight into the action.

You’ll find yourself in Gnorc’s circular chamber, with Gnorc atop a ledge firing beams at you. As you might have noticed, you can’t attack him straight away. You’ll first need to lower the ledge he’s standing on.

To do so, look for the Thief standing at the entrance of a corridor that branches off the main chamber. He’ll have a key emblem above his head. Chase him down and grab his key.

Once you’ve done that, go back to Gnasty Gnorc’s chamber and find a door on the right. The key will unlock it to reveal a second thief holding another key. Once you have this key, go over to the boss himself and the platform will lower, allowing you to climb up to him.

Gnorc will bolt, so you’ll need to chase him down, being careful not to fall off the winding path as you do so. After you’ve pursued him for a while, Gnorc will stop, giving you a chance to use your flame attack. You’ll then have to repeat the process once more before he finally dies.
