How to Play the Skateboard Minigame in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy
The Spyro Reignited Trilogy brings all three original Spyro games to modern consoles, remade with stunning detail in Unreal Engine 4. Despite the immense graphical overhaul, these are the same games fans know and love with the same level design, minigames, everything. The third game, Year of the Dragon, is the one with the most minigames to play and you might remember one in particular, the skateboarding minigame. Here’s how to play the skateboard minigame in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
There are a handful of locations in Year of the Dragon that will let you play the skateboard minigame, and it’s important to note that it’s the only game in the Reignited Trilogy that has it. The minigame lets Spyro jump on a skateboard pulling off sweet tricks, hunting down lizards for Hunter, or winning races. You can return to any of these locations at any time by going to their entrance in the designated level. We’ll detail how to get to all four skate parks in Year of the Dragon.
Sunny Villa Skate Park
For this skate park, you’ll need to play all the way through the level until you reach the end and get the talisman from the mayor. Once the portal home pops up, head to the left instead and follow the hallway down. At the end of the hallway, you’ll find a portal to the skate park.
Enchanted Towers Skate Park
Once again, you’ll need to play through to the end of the level, until you blow up the giant golden statue of The Sorceress. Once that’s done, glide onto the platform that the statue was on and drop down the hole into the skate park.
Lost Fleet Race
This one is a race rather than an open skate park, but it’s easier to get to. From the very start of the level, you just need to head left and get up onto the plateau full of crabs. Keep following it until you reach the portal for the race.
Super Bonus Worlds Skate Park
This one is actually pretty tough to reach, simply because you’ll have to access the Super Bonus Round world first. To do this, you’ll need to collect all 15,000 gems and 149 Dragon’s Eggs in Year of the Dragon. Then, after that, you’ll need to gather a whopping 17,000 gems total, and head to the door that says 17,000 on it. Once you have the required amount of gems, you can unlock the door and head into the last skateboard minigame in Year of the Dragon.
