Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are finally out in the wild, and longtime fans will get the chance to revisit the Kanto region and relive nostalgic childhood memories all over again. A few things have changed in these games, but some things have stayed the same, such as having to bribe some guards in order to let you go to Saffron City. Here’s what you need to know about how to get tea in Pokemon Let’s Go so you can get to Saffron.

You’ll first run into these gateways when you reach Cerulean City. Just south of Cerulean, near the underground passage, you’ll find a building with a guard saying that he takes his duty very seriously, but he could go for some tea.

And yes, if you give him some tea, the guard will automatically let you pass, giving you access to the big city.

In order to get the tea in Pokemon Let’s Go, you’ll need to keep progressing through the game until you get to Celadon City, where the Grass-type Gym is. You can get here by completing Vermillion City, getting the Light Up Secret Technique, then going through Rock Tunnel to reach Lavender Town. You can then get to Celadon City by taking the western path in Lavender Town.

Once there, just keep going left towards the departmental store and the apartments, and you’ll trigger a cutscene in Pokemon Let’s Go where you get to meet Brock once again. He’ll let you know that he’s here to visit the Gym leader, and then hand over some tea.

Now, all you have to do is go to any of the guardhouses and talk to the guard there. He will take the tea and mention that he’ll share it with the other guards, which means that you’ll now be able to get to Saffron City from any of the guardhouses in Pokemon Let’s Go.

Before you go running off to Saffron City in Pokemon Let’s Go, make sure to complete the Pokemon Tower quest first, and beat the Celadon Gym. The challenges ahead are pretty challenging, so you’ll want to be as prepared as possible.

That’s all you need to know about how to get tea in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. Be sure to check our Pokemon Let’s Go guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
