Pokemon Let’s Go: How to Get Candy

How to Get Candy in Pokemon Let’s Go

Here’s everything you need to know about how to get candy in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

While the two Pokemon Let’s Go games are essentially remakes of Pokemon Yellow, which released all the way back in 1998, they incorporate a lot of elements from recent mainline games and the hugely popular Pokemon GO.

One of the main changes in Pokemon Let’s Go from the original version of Pokemon Yellow is that you don’t battle wild Pokemon when you come across them. Instead of wading through the grass blindly, you can see Pokemon wandering around and you’re able to catch them using motion controls that are very similar to what you saw in the mobile game.

One of the other changes is the addition of Candy. In other games, Candy is used to feed to your Pokemon to increase their stats and you get them in Pokemon Let’s Go when you catch Pokemon you already have and send them to Professor Oak. Here’s a rundown of how you send Pokemon to Professor Oak for Candy.

  • Head to the in-game menu by pressing X.
  • Choose the Bag option.
  • Select which Pokemon you want to transfer.
  • Finally, select the Send to Professor Oak option.

Just as you can in Pokemon GO, you are able to transfer Pokemon in bulk so that you can get Candy quickly. All you need to do is select all the Pokemon you want to transfer and press Y to send them off, getting the Candy back in return.

You can then use all the candy you have got from the transferring or catching to improve your Pokemon. To do that, open up the menu again, go to bag and then Candy Jar. There, you’ll see all the candy you have so far, so just select it, then select the Pokemon you wanna feed it to and it will improve in the specific stat.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get candy in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our Pokemon Let’s Go wiki guide. We have also listed some other helpful guides down below to get you started.
