Red Dead Redemption 2 is a massive game. Even just blazing through the story as fast as you can, you’re still probably looking at around a 60-70 hour experience.
Today we posted our review, it took me right up until the embargo to get everything prepared for it. I played pretty much all day and night for the better part of a week.
What I wasn’t prepared for was the epilogue. We’re obviously not going to spoil anything about the story, ending or post-game, but you should know this: Just when you think you’re done, you’re actually not.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is so epic and long that even the epilogue is going to run you about six hours or more to complete. The epilogue. The part of the game that’s supposed to just be the cherry on top of the actual story.
This is after you’ve already played through at least 50 hours of the story. Maybe for you, depending on how much you dig into the side content it could be hundreds of hours at that point.
As I say that though, I guess for a potentially hundred hour plus playthrough, a six hour epilogue actually kind of works out math wise. Seriously though, buckle in for a supremely long game.
It’s crazy that Red Dead Redemption 2 is only $60. The combination of hours of quality gameplay you’re going to get for the price of entry is through the roof. Rockstar must really be sure that Red Dead Online is going to bring in a lot of money…
