In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, players will be tasked with fighting as a mercenary for either the Spartans or the Athenians. In doing so, they’ll participate in large scale battles to overthrow a nation leader. Before that big battle happens though, you must lower the opposing nation power. Here’s how to lower nation power in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Why You Should Lower Nation Power in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Your general will eventually task you with taking out a nation leader. Before that, though, it’s recommended that you lower nation power first. That’s because the lower the it is, the less security the nation leader will have with him at all times.

If you try to take out a nation leader first, you’ll find that the leader is nearly impossible to reach. They’re usually surrounded all sides by guards. Because of that, you should definitely lower it on down first.

By lowering the it enough, that leader will be alone and ripe for assassinating. To do this, you need to complete a number of specified tasks.

How to Lower Nation Power

You can destroy army supplies, which consists of burning four supply caches in an enemy camp. You can also clear our forts, kill polemarchs, and pillage nation chests. Purple icons let you know where these items are, which are usually in enemy forts in Odyssey.

Once you’ve done enough, you’ll see the bar lowered to its last threshold. At this point, you can kill the nation leader. You can also start the conquest battle if you wish.
