Engravings are a new system introduced in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and they allow players to have more freedom when it comes to customizing their characters and gear loadouts. In addition to finding new gear and equipment to strengthen your character, you’ll also want to keep an eye on the perks you get with each piece of equipment. Most of the rare gear pieces will provide you with a spare slot, and you can go to the blacksmith to etch new engravings on your gear, which will give you a slight advantage in battle. Here’s what you need to know on how to get engravings in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

First off, you’ll get a new one each time you gain a level in the game. When you level up, check the top of your screen to see which you’ve unlocked. You can also unlock new ones by completing certain challenges. For instance, doing things like killing 100 enemies with a specific weapon type, or dealing enough damage with a certain element will unlock a new one that you can check out at the blacksmith.

You can also open up the menu, go to the Inventory tab, and take a look at a list of all the engravings you’ve unlocked in the game so far. After that, look for the nearest blacksmith, and have them engrave your weapons or armor with a perk that will help you in a fight.

It’s worth noting that to get them on your weapons, first, it will cost you a small sum of money. However, it’s always worth your time to do so, especially as you unlock more legendary armor and weapons.

Even if it’s just a small percentage, it will be a plus that you didn’t have before. Always, always, always remember to head to a blacksmith and apply an engraving.

That’s all you need to know on how to get engravings in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Be sure to check our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey guide wiki for more tips, tricks, and guides on the game. Here’s a small taste of more of ’em:
