How to Beat Taskmaster in Spider-Man PS4

Here’s what you need to know to beat Taskmaster in Spider-Man PS4, if you were unsure of what to do.

There are a number of different villains you’ll take on as you explore Manhattan, swinging your way above the hustle and bustle of the streets, occasionally dropping down to stop crime right in its tracks.

Taskmaster is one such villain who will eventually show up as you progress through Spider-Man PS4‘s narrative. Once you reach this point, there will be Challenges dotted around the map, tasking you with completing Stealth, Bomb, Combat, or Drone challenges.

Spoiler Warning: This post contains spoilers for parts of Spider-Man PS4’s story, namely the aforementioned boss fight. If you’re wanting to enjoy the game spoiler-free, we advise turning back now.

As you may have guessed, you’ll need to start making your way through the Challenges in Spider-Man PS4 if you’ve any hope of facing off against him. Open up your map in the game and look for the small orange circular icons.

These will indicate the Challenges. Simply head to these, complete the challenges, and move onto the next one. You don’t have to get the top score, but enough to clear it.

Once you’ve got a few of these done, Taskmaster will grab you as you’re exploring the open world of Spider-Man PS4 and bring you to a roof. This will be your first proper face-to-face encounter with the villain.

You’ll need to either use projectiles on the roof to fling at him using L1 and R1 to stun him before you can attack, or nail a perfect dodge. Doing either of these will give you a slim window to deal some damage to him, so don’t waste your time trying to attack him normally or with one of your gadgets. It simply won’t work.

Before you can land a finishing blow on Taskmaster at this point in Spider-Man PS4, however, he’ll bail, and tell you that you need to complete the rest of the challenges dotted around Manhattan before he’ll give you another chance at taking him on.

Continue to clear these, and once you have, he’ll grab you again. You’ll need to stun and attack him about five times in this final fight before he’ll be defeated and you’ll unlock the trophy in Spider-Man PS4 for defeating him.

But it’s quite a simple fight. Just take your time, focus on executing perfect dodges, and you should clear this without any issues at all.

Once you beat him, you’ll unlock a sweet trophy!
