This first entry shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, especially considering the fact that The Dragon Prince and Avatar: The Last Airbender both share the same writer, Aaron Ehasz. Both shows are basically stories about trying to save the world from an ongoing war sweeping the nation. While Callum and his crew are off trying to deliver the dragon egg to Xadia, Aang and his friends are trying to put an end to the Fire Nation’s long-standing tyranny.
Not to mention that both shows even share an element of magic, evident by the different spells and bending abilities in The Dragon Prince and Avatar: The Last Airbender. They even share the same presentation in terms of the different books comprising each season. Heck, even Sokka’s voice actor plays Callum in The Dragon Prince. All that said, Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the closest shows you’ll find like The Dragon Prince.
