Timed Finishing is one of the big new changes that has come to FIFA 19. Now, by pressing the shoot button twice and timing the second press perfectly, you can do a more accurate and powerful shot that will likely fly past the keeper and into the top corner of the net. However, while it’s a neat addition that could add a skill gap that’s important in modes like FUT Champions, you do not have to use Timed Finishing at all in FIFA 19. Here is everything you need to know about how to turn off Timed Finishing in FIFA 19.

If you’re not in a match when you decide to turn off Timed Finishing in FIFA 19, head to the main menu. Once you’re there, scroll over to the Customize tab of the menu and choose the Customize Controls option. Then, you’ll see the Timed Finishing option and all you need to do is simply change it from On to Off. It then will not be active when you head into your next match.

How to Turn Off Timed Finishing During a Match

You can also turn off Timed Finishing in FIFA 19 during a match by pressing the pause button. From here, choose Settings, and change the option from On to Off in the Customize Controls menu. If you do so, when you go back into the match and continue, Timed Finishing will no longer be active.

Keep in mind, however, that turning it off during the match will not save the change forever, and it will only work for that one match. You’ll have to head to the main menu to turn off Timed Finishing in FIFA 19 permanently.

That’s all you need to know about how to turn off Timed Finishing in FIFA 19. For more on the game, be sure to check out our FIFA 19 wiki guide.
