Simon and Ritchter Whip into Battle in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Both fighters come equipped with their classic weapons, such as the whip, crosses, Holy Water, and fists. Similarly, there will also be a new stage, Dracula’s Castle, that’s based on Castlevania. This eerie map is filled with all sorts of dangerous creatures lurking about, making for a delightfully frightful experience. While Alucard won’t be an official fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, he has been made into an assist trophy you can call on in combat.

Richter appears in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, while Simon appears in the very first Castlevania game. Both Simon and Richter are relatives, with the two having extremely close ties to Nintendo. The very first Castlevania game launched way back on the NES in 1986, so it definitely seems fitting that they have a spot in the expansive roster.

Simon and Richter will be part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate cast when the game launches on Dec. 7 on the Nintendo Switch.
