Nioh 2 Just Got Revealed at Sony’s E3 2018 Press Conference

No one saw it coming, but Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja just dropped an epic teaser trailer for Nioh 2 at Sony’s E3 2018 press conference. It was just a CGI trailer, and it didn’t reveal much, but it closed with the tagline, “Death defies you,” which is pretty much enough to get any Nioh fan hyped at this point. You can check out the teaser trailer down below.

The first game followed the story of the historical English sailor William Adams as he journeyed through feudal Japan and became the first western samurai. The game drew inspiration from the Soulsborne games, but also introduced a much faster-paced combat system with in-depth weapon skills and various moves that you could pull off with the Ki (stamina) bar.

There were no other details revealed about Nioh 2, or any indication of when it’s going to be released, but we’ll be sure to update you as more info comes our way. The first game was exclusive to the PS4 (and later came to the PC via Steam), so we imagine this will be a console exclusive for the PS4 as well.
