Capcom just broke the news today with a lengthy blog post detailing everything fans can look forward to with the debut of Monster Hunter XX (pronounced “double cross” as Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Featuring local wireless and online multiplayer with up to three other players, Monster Hunter fans will be able to take on a variety of different enemies, including a new Elder Dragon that’s on the rampage.

In addition, there are tons of new areas and monsters as well as those returning from previous titles: the Nargacuga and Zinogre, for instance. There’s also the “G” rank quest, where players face off against new and stronger versions of monsters they’ve seen before.

If you played the original Monster Hunter Generations, you’ll be able to transfer your older save data over to Generations Ultimate, when it releases on Nintendo Switch this August 28. This is a great place to start, especially if you’re a newbie.

For now, check out the announcement trailer below and get ready to gear up for more monster hunting fun!
