How to Block in God of War
Though Kratos’ specialty is in dealing out massive amounts of damage to hordes of hapless foes, there will be occasions where it’s best to hunker down and shield yourself from harm in God of War. At this point, it’s probably a good idea to make sure you know how to block incoming attacks.
To do so, you need only hold L1, and Kratos will block oncoming attacks, giving you a valuable opportunity to plan your next move. This isn’t foolproof of course, and there are some blows that not even Kratos can block. Make sure you aren’t just trying to sponge up every hit that comes your way, particularly against larger enemies with more powerful offensive techniques.
