Amazon-owned live streaming service Twitch announced a new program today called Free Games with Prime, which will give out a collection of free PC games to Twitch Prime subscribers every month.
Twitch has handed out free games to its Prime members in the past, such as Devil May Cry HD, Banner Saga 1 & 2, and Titan Souls, but on an uneven schedule for a limited time. Free Games with Prime will bundle a few PC games that can be downloaded during the entire month for free.
Starting Thursday, March 15, Prime subscribers can get the following: Mr. Shifty, Oxenfree, Shadow Tactics, Superhot, and Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation. In April, the next collection of games will be: Dubwars, Kingsway, SteamWorld Dig 2, Tales from the Borderlands, and Tokyo 42. According to the company, members can keep these Free Games with Prime titles forever.
Some games have already been offered for free by the service, such as Superhot and Oxenfree, while Hotline Miami-like Mr. Shifty makes its first appearance this month. The eight titles of the company’s Indie Amplifier initiative will be given out over the next few months in the program, including winner Shadow Tactics and Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation.
Twitch Prime is included with an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $12.99 per month or $99 per year. The service also features ad-free streams, exclusive chat emotes, and free in-game cosmetics and loot.
