At the very end of the SXSW 2018 panel, some kind new Sonic racing game was teased, however a formal title was not revealed yet. A car is shown on screen, then blackened logo appeared, a car engine revving could be heard, and only the letter R, was highlighted.
Now one would likely naturally assume that would mean either Sonic R or Sonic All Star Racing would be getting a sequel. However, Sonic’s official Twitter handler, Aaron Webber, gave a clue to go along with the teaser. This game, whatever it is, would not be a sequel to something that has already come out. So that would, we guess, rule out R 2 or All Star Racing 3. Check out the teaser below:
