Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Coming Later This Year

It’s about time.

Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be releasing this October. Today, Rockstar released a statement via its official website that the game had needed a little more polish before hitting store shelves. Its official release date is now Oct. 26, 2018.

Rockstar’s official blog stated the following:

“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”

While there have been several purported leaks here and there over the last few months, it seems none of them were actually accurate, as this is the word straight from the lion’s mouth. It’s finally coming, and we’ve got more than a few things to talk about when it finally arrives.
