Life Is Strange: Before the Storm’s Gamescom Trailer Is Angsty and Intense

Burn it down.

Square Enix and Deck Nine Games showed up at Gamescom with a brand new trailer for the first episode of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm. Featuring the brand new track Burn It Down by Daughter, no less. You can check out the trailer for yourself down below. However, do note that the trailer does include a fair bit of new footage that wasn’t shown at E3, so look away if you don’t want to be potentially spoiled.

As expected, the trailer puts a lot of focus on Rachel and Chloe’s relationship, and how Chloe is dealing with the loss of her father and Max leaving for Seattle. We see quite a few returning faces like Joyce and Chloe’s soon-to-be stepfather David. At this point in time, Chloe still seems to be a student at Blackwell, so it should be fun to see how she interacts with the other students there.

Life Is Strange: Before the Storm episode one is set to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 31.
