Xbox One Exclusive Platformer Super Lucky’s Tale Announced

Get ready for another platforming adventure on Xbox One!

As a part of its cavalcade of exclusive game announcements during their E3 2017 press conference, Xbox revealed something new that still comes with a feeling of nostaglia. An adorable looking platformer, Super Lucky’s Tale, will release exclusively on Xbox One.

Super Lucky’s Tale appears to be a colorful platformer of yesterday. According to the trailer, the game switches between a 2D and 3D perspective but the emphasis appears to be a collect-a-thon. Super Lucky’s Tales looks not that dissimilar to many of Rare’s platformers of the 90’s, which can be found on Xbox One’s Rare Replay. In fact, Lucky appears pretty similar to the foul-mouthed Rare platformer character of Conker but he is much, much more wholesome.

Lucky might be a brand new platforming hero to most gamers, but this is not his first game. Super Lucky’s Tale appears to be a bit of a sequel to the original Lucky’s Tale, which was released for the Oculus Rift. In the move from VR to console, Lucky has seen a considerable face-lift, as the graphics of Super Lucky’s Tale on Xbox One are far superior to the first.

The official description reads, “Super Lucky’s Tale is a playground platformer for all ages. Join Lucky, the ever-optimistic, energetic, and lovable hero on his quest to find his inner strength and help his beloved sister rescue the Book of Ages from Jinx. Jinx, the scheming and mysterious villain, is trying to reshape the world… but for what reason?”

Super Lucky’s Tale will release exclusively on Xbox One and Xbox One X on Nov. 7 2017.
