The Legend of Heroes series has found its footing in recent years with the Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel sub-series. The third, and final, chapter of Trails of Cold Steel has finally gotten an official Japanese release date. Dengeki PlayStation, via Games Talk, reveals that The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will launch on September 28, 2017 for PS4. At the time, no official release date or time frame has been given for North America.
The magazine also confirmed that quite a few characters from across the series will be making an appearance in the third game. This includes Agate Crosner and Tita Russell from Trails in the Sky, and Sara Valenstein, G. Schmidt, Toval Randonneur from Trails of Cold Steel.
Trails of Cold Steel III takes place four years after Trails in the Sky, and both Agate and Tita have matured. Agate has still been working as a bracer, and has been promoted to A-Class.
Even though we don’t have a Western release date for Trails of Cold Steel III, we have gotten the first two titles courtesy of XSEED Games. Additionally, Trails in the Sky the 3rd recently released in North America via Steam, wrapping up the story of Estelle and Joshua.
