Last week, the first of two new characters for Rainbow Six Siege’s Velvet Shell update was revealed. This week, the second character – a female operative named Mira – has also been shown to the world. Check out the trailer below.
As you can see Mira, like Jackal last week, introduces a unique tactical element into play: she seems to be able to blow through the game’s reinforced walls. Mira is shown wielding a rectangular breaching device, which doesn’t take the whole wall down but creates a large space to shoot through. Or, Ubisoft puts it succinctly on the Rainbow Six blog: “The charge punches a perfect, rectangular murder hole through the steel barricade.”
There is also a hint to further assets for Mira, though Ubisoft merely teases us with this: “But there’s more to it than that – and you can see what happens next when Velvet Shell is revealed in full during the Six Invitational, which runs from February 3-5.”
The Velvet Shell update for Rainbow Six Siege is released on Feb. 7.
