Revealed on the official Hitman website, the new difficulty level will be released as part of the January Update that will be available to everyone on January 31.

“Professional Difficulty Level offers extended replayability, new game features, a separate mastery track with unique rewards, tweaked game mechanics and new AI behaviour that combine to create an entirely new experience for all players, whether they’re looking to test themselves in a more challenging environment or earn bragging rights at the top of the leaderboards, which are now separated between difficulty levels,” the press release read.

To unlock the new difficulty level you will need to reach Mastery Level 20 on each mission location and it will be available on every one, other than the Prologue. Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts will only be playable on the default difficulty, which will now be called Normal Mode.

Hitman’s January Update and the physical version of Season One will be available on January 31.
