Pokemon Sun and Moon: Where to Find Beldum

It's a dumb bell, get it?

Pokemon Sun and Moon – Catching Beldum

Recommended Videos

Beldum is a genderless Steel and Psychic-type Pokemon, and it makes a reappearance in Sun and Moon. This tiny little Pokemon will evolve into Metang and Metagross, and players will be able to give it the Steelium Z item to perform devastating Steel-type moves.

To catch this pocket monster, head over to the third island and go up the Mount Hokulani, where the Observatory is. From here, head down the winding path and look out for the grass patches to the side of the road. Though the encounter rate is pretty slim, this is where you’ll find Beldum. However, actually capturing it is a completely different matter altogether. This Pokemon has an incredibly low catch rate, and since it uses Take Down, you won’t have too much time before Beldum eventually faints from all the recoil damage. Your best bet here is to use a Quick Ball immediately upon encountering it. If that fails, try using Dusk Balls if you’re encountering it at night, or use your Great and Ultra Balls.

Make sure to save your game before looking for Beldum so you can always reload your previous save, just in case you’re out of Poke Balls and don’t want to waste money buying more.
