Battlefield 1 Lets You Rent Servers, but They’re Hella Expensive

You could buy some pigeons for that.

As announced earlier, Battlefield 1 will let players rent their very own servers, either for private use or to host public matches.

In previous Battlefield titles, renting a server was done through a third party. However, VGPWN reveals that EA will be handling the renting of servers themselves with the release of Battlefield 1. And, as one has come to expect from EA, that comes with some higher price points.

For the interested, here are some of Battlefield 1’s server price points:

  • 1 Day: $1.49
  • 7 Days: $6.99
  • 30 Days: $24.99
  • 90 Days: $59.99

Battlefield 1 hits the shelves come October 21 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Those who pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition can get started three days earlier on October 18, whereas EA Access and Origin Access members on Xbox One and PC respectively can play 10 hours of Battlefield 1 even sooner, starting October 16.
