Jotun "as it should be experienced."

“We know that many of you have been asking about it for a while and I can tell you it’s an amazing feeling to finally say that we’re actually launching the game!” Creative Director William Dubé admits in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

He continues, explaining how excited the team at developer Thunder Lotus is for players to “be able to experience Jotun as it should be experienced: on a couch with a controller, in front of an HDTV with a great sound system.”

Jotun follows Thora, a viking who died an inglorious death. In order to enter Valhalla, she must now prove herself worthy to the many Norse gods.

The Valhalla Edition of the game includes a new game mode, Valhalla Mode. A replayable boss rush, it will feature harder versions of each of the bosses in the main game.

The title will release on Sept. 9 for $15 USD. Already up for pre-order on the Xbox Store, the game is discounted to only $13.49.
