Nintendo Seems to Be Ditching Their Gray Logos For Good Old Red

Kicking it back in red/white.

It looks like Nintendo may finally be returning to its original red and white logo scheme. After a number of stores adopted the styling late last year, today the company’s Twitter and YouTube accounts followed suit. Feels like it’s been a really long time, huh? Well, that’s because it has! The red and white hasn’t been popularly used since they adopted a gray and white scheme back in the Wii/DS era.

Curiously enough, the logo hasn’t changed for the Japanese and European Twitter accounts, but chances are they’re likely to follow. Either way, this is certainly a blast from the past. Whether it means anything for the future of the company, well, that’s up to personal interpretation. The original colors are back, and it follows on the heels of the still-in-the-dark NX console they’re currently working on.
