The finalists for the 2016 Independent Games Festival have been announced, with 26 titles being included for at least one of the seven awards.
Her Story took the Best Narrative award at the Game Awards last month, and is one of six games that have been nominated for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize. The game faces tough competition from the likes of Undertale, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Mini Metro, Superhot, and Darkest Dungeon.
Multiple games are up for more than one award which focus on specific areas. That Dragon, Cancer is nominated for Excellence in Narrative and Excellence in Audio for example, while The Beginners Guide is on the list for Excellence in Narrative and the Nuovo Award.

The Independent Games Festival will take place in San Francisco, between the 14th and 18th March. It is the 18th time the event has been run, with games like Minecraft, Fez, and Papers, Please all winning the grand prize in their respective years.
