Tekken 7 Update Adds a Famous Street Fighter

Insert angry stares.

In Tekken’s 7 upcoming Fated Retribution update, a legendary Street Fighter will make an appearance to bash in some skulls.

Oh yes, that’s Akuma and he looks pissed. Maybe because all of the Tekken characters have been borrowing his hair gel?

Remember when developer Bandai Namco Entertainment was going to release a versus fighter much like Capcom’s Street Fighter X Tekken, this is close right? It’s definitely a step in the right direction.

Adding Akuma isn’t the only addition to the Fated Retribution update either, the update will also feature new stages, costumes, items and other new characters.

Even though Akuma hasn’t been announced for Street Fighter V, this still wets the appetite to see what he could look like in a current-gen game. Seeing how other characters in the Tekken franchise react to his Hadokens will be interesting as well.

Does Akuma in Tekken get you excited? Is there any other Street Fighter characters you would have rather seen? Let us know in the comments!
